Pie Noon 2008

Here’s the lineup:

Pumpkin cheesecake - Jaye’s standard pie, quite good

Caramel Banana Pie - I made this - chocolate, caramel and banana slices. I made 2, and 1 was gone in a matter of minutes

Pumpkin pie - not sure who brought this, but it appeared

Gluten-free pumpkin pie - Martin made it

Butterscotch pie - Marion’s standard, very yummy

Orange Kool-aid pie - Julie made it - very sweet, like a creamsicle

Grape Kool-aid pie - ditto - tasted like purple bubble gum

The people who were there this year:
Me; Jaye, RJ, Sharon, Jontae (RJ’s Little Brother); Dad and Mom Pierce; Jacqueline, Martin, Zac, Rose, Anna, Michael (Martin’s brother), Cheryl (his wife) and their two kids; cousins Marion, Pat and Dan and Dan’s wife Julie and their three kids
I lost track of which wee one was with who and what their names were. There was a JT and an Anna for sure.

Years later, on Thanksgiving…

Just stumbled across this blog when I got an email asking me to moderate some comments on it. They were spam, but I went back and read some of the posts, which got me into a blogging mood.

Today is Thanksgiving. Pie Noon is looming. I made two (hopefully) great pies. Caramel banana. Even made the caramel myself from sweetened condensed milk. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m pet-sitting the girl I’m dating’s dog while she’s in Texas. (The girl’s in Texas, not the dog.) She’s a good dog (the dog, not the girl), part husky, part German shepherd. We’re going to have some fun.

Should be a great day! Supposed to get up close to 60. We’ll eat pie, play a little football, watch a little football, eat food and more pie.
